Join Shelley Schubert as she returns to teaching in “Resin Magic”, a beginner friendly series that will show you how to pour resin and get the most out of your silicone molds.

So, now you have done some resin pouring in a class or two, and want to learn how to paint some of the wonderful pieces you’ve cast!  And maybe you want to learn how black resin works for those more dramatic pieces…  this third class in learning to work with resin is all about achieving some of those really beautiful effects you see in resin work.  We will be working with pre-cast pieces in BLACK resin (Shelley’s personal favorite!) and several mediums that go beyond just paint…in addition to using acrylic paints, and talking about the different brands and what is best to use, we will be using mica sprays, waxes, liquid inks and discussing sealers for to keep your artwork looking great for years to come.  We will also discuss how to work with black resin as opposed to white resin, and do a black resin casting in class with one on one instruction from Shelley. 

*Please bring to class:

Splat mat
Assorted paint brushes in different sizes
Tim Holtz Collage Medium
Scissors
Small Water Bottle Spritzer
Protective Gloves (latex or other)
